National Youth Day
‘National Youth Day’ marks the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, and is celebrated in a grand manner. A rally is taken out by students in which our coordinators and others participate.
This event was celebrated on January 12 with the following programmes:
-
There is mass Surya Namaskar by 250 youths in front of Swami Vivekananda’s statue.
-
“Leadership Training for College Students” in the Ideal of Swami Vivekananda is organised by Sahithi Foundation and is attended by almost 260 students.
-
In the evening the members of the Vivekananda Youth Forum take out a procession with the portrait of Swamiji and the response by the villagers is overwhelming. About 8,000 people participate in the procession. The local people offer flowers to Swamiji’s portrait.
-
Our trustees and volunteers give their valuable speech and quote Swamiji to the youth for motivating them.
